Well hello! Thank you for reading my blog, and welcome!

This is the bit where I tell you a bit about me. Well, in a nutshell, I am half Colombian and half English, I was born in Scotland and raised most of my life in my parent’s three bed Edwardian house in North London.

I am writing this blog because I have decided to leave the UK after 30 years to live in Colombia. Pretty scary. I have never travelled alone or taken a gap year, but have had some pretty life changing incidents which has led me to this trip. Some would say it’s the fresh start I need…others might say it’s fate. I guess we’ll find out!

I have no idea yet what I will do once I get to Colombia, but thankfully I have lots of family and will be staying in my aunt’s spare room whilst I get on my feet. There are definitely things I will miss about Britain, but I need to take this opportunity to discover my roots and find out if the split is 50/50 or if I’m more British or Colombian.

In the meantime, I am looking forward to travelling around, learning Spanish, painting and discovering new things.
